A memorial for those who lost their lives on 9/11 will be held in Peconic Wednesday night.
Community members are invited to the 9/11 memorial statue at Jean Cochran Park between 5 and 7 p.m. for the memorial.
While there will be no formal service or ceremony, flags will be provided for attendees to plant around the park in honor of the victims of the attack and emergency personnel who worked to save hundreds of lives.
